Our Story
In the summer of 1983, a month-long cross-country trip that included a two-week backpacking trek was the catalyst. Philmont Scout Ranch is the Boy Scout's premier high adventure camp located in the rugged mountains of the Sangre De Cristo Range of the Rocky Mountains in New Mexico. Philmont was the perfect high adventure experience that started a path of a lifetime of exploring and seeking adventure in the outdoors. After achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, a military career followed that has spanned 30 years and counting in multiple assignments, and operational experiences. This has allowed me to see the world and has provided challenges, hardships, and purpose along the way. These experiences have given me a unique perspective on how I connect to my outdoor world. Now it's time for me to share those lessons learned over the years and give back to a community of adventure seekers and weekend explorers.
Share a Richness of life
Enjoying the experiences of the outdoors with family, and friends, and building memories that will last a lifetime. Navigate to Your Adventure is about inspiring others to explore the world around them. Not all of us can take a year off to thru-hike one of the iconic trails or set out on a 3-month overland expedition.
But that's not to say that being the first out in the morning to find that bit of remoteness in the modern life that we lead or after work catching a few miles of flowing single track and finding yourself one with the bike and pedaling away to escape the stress of everyday life can be epic.

As an Eagle Scout and an Arrowman in the Boy Scouts Of America. The terms to do a good turn daily and cheerful service were instilled at an early age. Even as a Soldier the Army value of selfless service built upon those values I had as a Scout. Today you will find me volunteering at a local level on projects that protect public parks and provide recreational opportunities for all outdoor enthusiasts.
