Our Story
In the summer of 1983, a month-long cross-country adventure—including a two-week backpacking trek—ignited my lifelong passion for the outdoors. This journey led me to Philmont Scout Ranch, the Boy Scouts’ premier high-adventure camp, nestled in the rugged Sangre de Cristo Range of New Mexico. My time at Philmont was the perfect introduction to the world of exploration, sparking a path that would shape my future.
After earning the rank of Eagle Scout, my journey continued with a 30-year military career, where I had the privilege of serving in numerous assignments and operational roles around the world. These experiences—filled with challenges, hardships, and purpose—have deeply influenced my perspective and connection to the world.
Now, after decades of adventure, I’m ready to share the lessons I’ve learned and give back to the community of fellow explorers and weekend adventurers.

Volunteering
As an Eagle Scout and Arrowman in the Boy Scouts of America, I learned the values of "doing a good turn daily" and "cheerful service" early on. These principles were further reinforced throughout my military career, where the Army’s focus on selfless service built on the foundations of Scouting. Today, I continue to volunteer locally, working on projects that preserve public parks and create recreational opportunities for all outdoor enthusiasts. Giving back remains a core part of who I am, and I’m proud to contribute to the communities that share my love for the outdoors.
