POSTCARD: A New Adventure|| Sharr Mountain Range

Back in late October, I shared that I was transitioning to a mobile office setup. At the same time, I was working on building a mobile photography kit. It feels like it took months to gather all the necessary digital gear. The need for both a mobile office and photography kit was simple: they had to be lightweight, compact, and compatible with the devices I already owned.

I set a personal goal to elevate the content and photographs I create for my blog. Time will tell if I reach that goal, but I’ve laid the foundation to get there.

Sometimes, being in the right place at the right time with the right conditions makes all the difference when capturing great images. In my case, it was pure luck. The photo above was taken from a helicopter flying over the Sharr Mountain Range (also known as the Šar Mountain Range). This section of the range lies within the Sharr Mountain National Park, which spans both Northern Macedonia and Kosovo. The park is located in the Prizren District, with Northern Macedonia just on the other side of the ridgeline.

I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to explore a country and culture so different from my own. Though this will occasionally push me outside my comfort zone, I’m excited about the new challenges and experiences.
