POSTCARD || FALL COLORS

Fall Colors at Pocahontas State Park
Capturing the beauty of the fall colors on Swift Creek Lake.

It was one of those perfect October days—too beautiful to stay indoors. The leaves were bursting with color, and the trail was scattered with vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows. I kept my focus on the path, searching for the ideal spot to capture the essence of the season. At times, it felt like an impossible task, and I almost gave in, deciding to simply enjoy the ride. But just before I turned toward home, chasing the fading daylight, the sun broke through and illuminated the trees on the north side of the lake. That’s when I found the perfect moment to capture the fall colors in all their glory.
